Pharmacovigilance is the process of collecting, monitoring, researching and evaluating information from healthcare providers and patients for the purposes of understanding and preventing drug-related problems.
Pharmacovigilance system in COPAD Pharma collects data throughout the lifecycle of each product in order to monitor and maintain the safety profile of all COPAD Pharma products.
COPAD Pharma evaluates adverse events and other collected safety information including healthcare providers reports, patient reports & medical literature.
When important safety issues arise, COPAD Pharma issues updated communications to doctors, patients and health regulators.
Adverse Events (AEs) can be any unfavorable or unintended sign, symptom or disease temporarily associated with the use of a medicinal product, whether or not it is related to the product. Adverse Events can occur when medicines are used in any number of different circumstances.
Healthcare providers and patients are encouraged to spontaneously report adverse events as a result of their experiences. Each is reviewed and follow up contacts are initiated when additional information is needed.
COPAD Pharma has a legal obligation to follow up and report any adverse events that may have happened with any of its products.

Established in 1989, COPAD is a pharmaceutical company and manufacturer of medicinal and veterinary products that has managed to grow its reach to regional and global markets via lucrative exports and imports of the industry. COPAD has a valid license issued from the Ministry of Trade and is authorized by the Industrial Development Institute.
Developing over the years, COPAD established its own local manufacturing facilities. In 2011, the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility was built in El Obour City. In 2018, the food and medical food facility followed — both fitting GMP European Standards.
COPAD's scientific office successfully built partnerships with multinational companies to import high quality healthcare products to the Middle East.
COPAD expanded its coverage to different countries in the MENA region, addressing several market demands via products ranging from veterinary & medicinal to basic nutrition and supplements.
